Review: Avon Glimmersticks

Today I'll be doing a review about my Avon Glimmerstick in the colors Flashy Copper, Starry Night, Sugar Plum, Blackest Night, Golden Diamond, Brown Glow, Brown Chocolate, and Emerald. There are three different types of the glimmersticks, the originals, waterproof, and diamond.

What Avon says:
Glimmerstick Eyeliner:
Wears up to 12 hours. Smooth, glide-on color. Retractable, self-sharpening. Each, .01 oz. net wt
Waterproof Eyeliner:
Smooth, glide-on color. Retractable, self-sharpening. Each, .01 oz. net wt.
Diamond Eyeliner:
Our #1 liner...with sparkle! Your favorite retractable, self-sharpening liner - now with a touch of twinkle. Glimmer on! .01 oz. net wt.

Flashy Copper:

This is in the Glimmersticks Diamond Collection which means this eyeliner has little sparkles in it. Flashy Copper in particular has tiny red and yellow fleks. It's very metallic and the color is exactly like the name, a copper. The staying power is very good, yet  I only use it for the top lid, so I don't know how it would be for the water line. It's also very creamy and the pigmentation is really good.
Rating 5/5

Starry Night:

This is a really dark blue color, almost black in a way. You can smudge it very easily, but the staying power isn't nearly as good as the copper. The pigmentation is ok, but you have to do alot of layers to get the color consistant. This is just part of the original Glimmersticks, with no sparkle.
Rating 4/5

Sugar Plum:

Sugar Plum is my favorite out of all my glimmersticks. It is part of the Diamond collection and is a pink purple with lighter pink fleks. The staying power isn't incredible but the pigmentation is. It's also super creamy like the copper. But the reason I love it, is because the color is just gorgeous. I've never been able to find another purple eyeliner that is as pretty as this one is.
Rating 4.5/5

Blackest Night

This eyeliner is just a matte black, no sparkles or shine. It's waterproof so it works best on the water line, but only lasts about half the day. It also isn't the blackest black ever, but the pigmentation is ok, not amazing really. It's creamy and goes on very easily.
Rating 4/5

Gold Diamond

Now this is supposed to be a gold color, but for me it looks a little more yellow. Since its in the Diamons collections it has sparkles, which is nice, but this eyeliner is really crumbly, and the pigmentation is not good at all. It takes alot to get a color that really shows up. I would suggest this for highlighting, but if you want colors that are noticable, then don't bother.
Rating 3/5

Brown Glow

It's almost like Flashy Copper, but darker. It doesn't have as many sparkles in it either but it is part of the Diamond collection. It is a little bit mettalic, and so creamy and pigmented. Just really nice all the way around. It doesn't work very well on the waterline, some might think thats a downside, but I don't since I only use it on my lid.
Rating 5/5

Brown Chocolate

This is waterproof, like the black, so it's best on the waterline. It's also matte and lasts about half the day.
Rating 4/5

Emerald

Honestly, this eyeliner look sort of blueish green. So if you want a really green eyeliner then this isn't it. On the other hand, like most of the glimmerstick eyeliners its very creamy and has good pigmentation. I found that this color works very well on the waterline, and looks really cool too. So although the color isn't what you would think, everything else about it is amazing.
Rating 4.5/5

So that is my collection of Avon Glimmersticks. There is a waterproof line, Diamond line, and then the orginals. I think now they have a Chrome line too, so I really want to get some of those. The colors are very pretty, and they come off really easily with makeup remover. The packaging looks nice too. The lettering is silver, and on the Diamond line it sparkles. The words also don't come off, like alot of lettering does. These are one of my favorite eyeliners and they are really cheap too. You can usually get them for a really good deal in the Avon Catalogs, otherwise I think they are about $7. I usually get them at $3.50 or even cheaper sometimes. So the overall ratings for these eyeliners is.....
4.5/5

So whats your favorite eyeliner. Do you have any favorite Avon Glimmersticks?
